Can’t agree more with all the people here and everywhere else who felt good to be respected on a global stage. On the flipside, if we also could think about it this way, “ASK FOR WHAT YOU’RE ENTITLED TO. YOURSELF AND ON BEHALF OF THOSE WHO DON’T KNOW OR ARE UNAWARE OF WHAT THEY OUGHT TO GET IN RETURN FOR VOTING IN THE ELECTIONS.”
That way, we can stop the political blame game and focus on getting things right. As a result, consequently, we wouldn’t care about which party is at power, as the party or its members are bound to implement solutions that cater to the needs of the tax payers. This applies everywhere in this world. Especially in a highly spending inclined economy such as that of America, would have a huge amoutn deposited in taxes every second. Not minute. Not day. Not week. Not month or a year. That’s the number we can start digesting (with a lot of difficulty) from. Also, the people who are involved in and are indulging in taking a bribe, are not aware of what they are compromising on in return for the small amount they receive right away (tax free haha).
- They give up their rights on free education (quality government schools thus are extinct)
- They give up on goverment hospitals (affordable healthcare)
- They give up on stress free commute – quality of roads and transportation.
- Sanitation – broken drainage, OPEN most of the times which in no way is what the tax payers pay taxes for.
- Enablement of people
I am working with a group comprising of a few rural youngsters and renowned old people of a village in India, connecting with them remotely and sharing with them about “THEIR RIGHTS AS VOTERS, THEIR ELECTED MEMBERS’ DUTIES, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.” It has been extraordinarily helpful, especially when you see them go wow at things that they should’ve not broken a sweat about and we’re entitled to, by birth as a human being. The basic clothing, food, water, sanitation, transport, communication and health care.
People amongst you, with this level of knowledge and understanding about what a human needs, can help extremely with the progress and prosperity of our country.
